Condolence: Debbie was always willing to go above and beyond to help when needed. Thank you Debbie for all you did for me but most of all your friendship. You will be missed until we meet on the other side.

Condolence: Debbie has been in my life now for about 20 years. She was always very kind and loving. I know that she loved and adored her family very much. My son never called Debbie by her name, the family had convinced him that her name was Pretty Lady. Robert, Robin, and Ginger, I am so sorry for your loss.

Condolence: Grandma, I love you and will miss you.

Condolence: I'm not sure I have the words to express how much I will miss my mom or how much Zachary will miss his grandma. I talked to my mom everyday and if a day went by without talking to each other we agreed that it just didn't feel right. Zachary was blessed to have his grandma for 17 years. I know he will share all of his grandma stories and memories with his cousin Keegan. Mom always said she had the best of both worlds. She was lucky to have two daughters and she was extra lucky to have two grandsons. We love you mom and we will miss you, but you will be with us in everything we do.

Condolence: Debbie Smith was my FAA boss for a number of years while I was an Information Technology contractor working in support of AFS-600.

Fate conspired to place us both in the cross-hairs of a fairly unpleasant and protracted political battle which neither one of us caused and neither one of us had the power to stop. But Debbie fought the battle fearlessly and with great courage and wisdom. In doing so, she protected me and several other contractors with whom I worked.

I am specifically aware of a fair number of persons outside of our small IT contractor group, who Debbie took under her wing, and whom she sought to nurture, protect, and mentor. This was her modus operandi for many years. She looked out after those who really needed a helping hand. She used the power she had to do these things. Sometimes quietly; sometimes fearlessly; always within the rules. She didn’t have to, but she made it her business to do so.

She was the most thorough and demanding COTR I ever had while I was associated with the FAA. But what I would like her family and friends and co-workers to know, is not just that Debbie was a boss for whom I grew to have great respect, but more importantly she was an ally to those like me, who had great need for an ever vigilant protector. I will forever consider her a true and valued friend of mine.

Condolence: Grandma I know our time was short together but the times we did spend together were some of the best moments a kid could want. You always spent as much time with me as you could and everytime I got to see you I could always remember you. That is because of how special you were to me and what an impact you made on my life. Mom has promised me to tell me everything about you over the years so you will live on through her and me. I love you Grandma.
