Obituary for John Paul McKee

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM July 7, 2016 at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes

Paul McKee entered Heavens gates surrounded by his children and family on Monday, July 4, 2016 at the age of 71 after a brief illness. He was born July 29, 1944 in San Diego, California. Paul recently retired from Evans Enterprises where he worked for over 50 years. He was devoted to his work, and he loved the people he worked with. Paul cherished his family, his children, and he adored his grandchildren. Paul loved spending time at his Texoma Lakehouse where he spent time fishing, riding around on the lake in one of his many boats, or just “puttering” around the lake house property. He enjoyed riding his Harleys taking several road trips including one to Sturgis.

He was preceded in death by his:
Mother, Albert Mackey;
Three brothers: Jerry McKee, Gilbert McKee and James McKee;
Sister, Rebecca Johnson.

Paul leaves behind:
his ex-wife & friend Sandi McKee
Their five children, nine grandchildren, and one brother listed as follows;
Kim Adiar and her husband, Bob and their children, Kasi and Zachary Womack;
Chip McKee;
Jeff McKee and her wife, Kim and their children: Hunter, Holden, and Hayden;
Jon Mckee and his wife, Carrie and their children: Jordan, Raegan, and Jonathan;
Jeremy McKee and his wife, Courtney and their daughter, Miah;
Brother: David McKee and his wife, Patricia; & their son Aaron
his girlfriend of several years, Daphne Black, as well as a large list of close family members and dear friends.

The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and staff at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital-South for all their expertise and compassion in dealing with Daddy and our family during his final days. We also would like to thank Evans Enterprises for all their love and support during this time and throughout the years. Through Evans you have given the opportunity for a kid to grow from extreme poverty to set a foundation for several generations to accomplish things that would have been unattainable without his dedication and hard work ethics. The McKee children have accomplished tremendous things because expectations were dramatically changed forever. There was never any thoughts but success. This is his legacy.
