Condolence: Dede and Family,
Iworked with Rick at Merck. Around the shop he was known as our Dickie. He was a good mechanic and he was full of the devil with his practical jokes. He was always someone you could count on if you needed help with anything. We think about St. Patty's Day in Belmar and it always makes us smile. Dede you are in our thoughts and prayers. Condolence: Dear Dede & family,

Our thoughts & prayers are with all of you through this difficult time. Although Rick has left us, his spirit and memory will be with us forever. Some of the best times of our lives were spent with Rick, Dede, and the friends at Rick's Marina. We will always cherish these times.

Condolence: I was married to Rick's younger sister Karen. I met Rickie & Dede in their Old Bridge home in the late '70s. Rachel and Dana were pretty young at the time. But they loved watching scary movies. I remember even back then what a happy and loving family they had. They were the same then as they are now.

I know Rick worked very hard at being a good husband and father. I think he was very grateful to have a lot of support from Dede's family. And of course they loved Rick. They loved him for his dedication to Dede, and his integraty and loyalty to the family business. Yep, for Rick, family always came first.

He had to work hard to provide what he wanted for his family but he didn't complain. He just kept plugging along, year after year. But when it was time to have fun and be with the family he was there.

I wish we had more time with Rick. I think we missed a couple opportunities to visit while they were still in Toms River.
But I'm grateful that he got a chance to meet his nephews; Nick, Derek, and Gavin. I know they looked up to him in more ways than one. Like we all did. I know for a fact my boys didn't get there height from my side of the family.

Rick and Dede, thank you so much for the times we had in Toms River when our kids were young, playing in the pool and grilling out in the back yard. Good memories.

It is so good that you all are so close as a family. I pray that you all will have continued peace and hope now and forever.

We love you all,
Mike & Barb, Nick, Derek, & Gavin Sheehan

Rick will always be considered one of the good guys. Loving, caring, hard working and ready to lend a hand whenever someone like myself needed it. You will be missed Rick!

Condolence: This is such a great way to remember Rick, smiling and boating! So many great memories of good times together. I'll always think of him as a great friend, father & grandfather - his family will always be a reflection what a good man he was. You are all in my prayers. I'm so sorry I'm unable to be with you in person to celebrate his life on Oct. 31, but know that I'll be with you in spirit...Love Liz
