Born on October 10, 1927, Margie Lee Streets was the daughter of Emmaus Uel Breeden and Ila Dona Borough. She was born and raised in Tryon, Oklahoma, and graduated from the high school there. Margie worked as a pastry cook for three years in Cordell Hall at Oklahoma A&M. It was during this time that she met her future husband, who was a student there at the time. On November 4, 1950, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Margie married T. Robert Streets. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved, cared for and prayed for her entire family. She was an exceptional home cook and baker and her family will always remember her famous pies. In addition to her talents at home, Margie also enjoyed square dancing which she participated in for 10 years. Although her physical health had been in decline for many years, Margie was the spiritual matriarch of her family and her faith in God never wavered throughout her trials.
