Obituary for Rosemary Sharon Hughes

Rosemary S. Hughes passed away on Saturday, December 03, 2016. She touched many lives with her gracious spirit and quick witted nature.
Rosemary was born on April 20, 1940, in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Bill and Izola Donovan. She graduated from Albert Lea High School and attended Mankato State University. She married Richard “Dick” Hughes on October 19th, 1963. They moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Chicago, Illinois before settling in Oklahoma City in 1970.
Rosemary enjoyed a 25 year career working for UPS in the accounting department. She loved spending time with friends and family-especially her long awaited grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, aunt, and sister. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, reading, and going to the casino. Summer vacations were spent with family in her hometown of Albert Lea where she attended the Freeborn County Fair for 50 consecutive years.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband, Richard ; daughters, Lana Maxwell(Damon) and Lynn Hostmyer(Mike) ; grandchildren Lindsey Maxwell and Lane Hostmyer; brother, Butch Donovan(Judi); many relatives and friends. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved and will be missed by many.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10AM Tues. December 6, 2016 at the Vondel L. Smith and Son North Colonial Chapel at 13125 North MacArthur Blvd., OKC, OK with interment to follow at the Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
