David Lee Haggard (Dave), 77, passed away peacefully at home February 3, 2017. He was born May 18, 1939 in OKC to J.R. and Carrie Norton Haggard. He was a loving husband to Carol Tarte Haggard, father to Kevin and his wife Tiffany, Edward Haggard and grandpa to Matthew and Abigail. Dave graduated from N.W. Classen High School in 1957. He attended Central State and joined the Air Force and served in Vietnam. After marring in NY, he and Carol moved to Oklahoma where he was a district manager for over 30 years with Farmers Insurance Group. He was a member of the Elks, 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He loved his family, OU football, fishing, golf and woodworking. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Bruce & son Jason. Viewing with the family present will be at Vondel Smith North, Tuesday, Feb. 7th from 6:00-8:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, Wednesday, February 8th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the charity of your choice.
