Leon Theodore Smith departed this earthly life on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born January 18, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas to his parents, Ralph and Myrtle Smith. After graduating from high school, Leon honorably served his country in the United States Navy. On June 25, 1951, Leon married Willa “Dean” Massey and together shared more than 53 years of marriage and raising a family, before Dean’s passing on March 26, 2005. He later married Jean Ann (McDermitt) Thomas and enjoyed many years together. Leon provided a warm and loving home for his family by working as an electrical engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration until his retirement. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his:
Parents;
First wife, Willa “Dean” Smith;
Daughter, Jane Smith.
He leaves behind his loving family:
Wife of the home, Jean Ann Smith;
Son, Jack T. Smith and his wife, Debra of Duncan, Oklahoma;
Son, Donald Smith and his wife Anita, of Elmer, Missouri;
Grandchildren: Victoria, Michelle, Joshua and Euwana;
Many other family and friends
