I have very fond memories of spending my summers at Mafford's house.  Denise and I were around the same age and we very much enjoyed spending time together when we were young and Mafford always called to ask me to come out each summer.  Mafford even helped me get my 1st summer time job.  She always treated me like her "daughter", not her niece.  She was a very giving, sweet person and someone you could talk to about anything.  She will always have a special place in my heart.
