My husband and I are almost regulars on Saturday mornings at Jimmy's Egg. We loved it when Mae was our waitress. She was so kind and attentive. One morning, my husband had forgotten to ask for a particular thing in his order and politely flagged Mae down. She rushed over, noted the change, and went to tell the cooks. She came back to let us know the change had been made, and my husband asked for more water. She retrieved the pitcher and filled his glass. He then asked for more coffee, suddenly realizing he could have asked for this all in one spell. Mae jokingly gave him a hard time by saying, "Can't you see I'm an old woman?" Haha! We sure will miss her.
