Obituary for Jacqueline "Jackie" Brodie

Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes

Services to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at South Lakes Chapel 4000 S.W. 119th


Jacqueline S. Brodie, lovingly known as Jackie by her family and friends, entered Heaven’s gates on March 7, 2017 at the age of 81. She was born November 22, 1935 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania to her parents, John Adams and Virginia (Gibson) Stoup. She graduated from Waynesburg High School, Class of 1953. Jackie thoroughly enjoyed fishing when she was able and fondly remembered was about 11 she caught swordfish of the coast of Florida while on a family vacation. She was a great bowler and was affiliated with a league in Moore for a number of years. A longtime member at Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, Jackie loved the Lord with all of her heart, enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the organ and also served as the church secretary for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Husband, William Brodie Jr.;
Brother, William Adams Stoup

She leaves behind her loving family:
Son, William H. Brodie, III and his wife, Bren Brodie;
Son, Steven D. Brodie;
Son, Brian A. Brodie and his wife, Shannon Perkins-Brodie;
One granddaughter, Katherine Brodie;
