Viewing will be held 4-8pm Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the funeral home (6934 S. Western Ave).

Service to honor Junior's life will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Wilmont Place Baptist Church (6440 S. Santa Fe)

Committal Service will be 2:00pm at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, OK.

Irving, 92, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2017. His family and friends all knew him as “Junior”. He was born in Summerfield, OK to Irving and Della Welch. After graduating high school, Junior joined the U.S Army during WWII and later became a carpenter. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Junior also served as a deacon in the Baptist church for 62 years. He retired as a carpenter from St. Anthony Hospital after 26 years. He was a loving husband, caring father, dedicated grandfather, and a devoted Christian.

Junior was preceded in death by his:
• Parents ~ Irving and Della Welch;
• Wife ~ Ayline O. Welch;
• Daughter ~ Dena Keel;
• Sister ~ Melna Jones.


Junior leaves behind his:
• Son ~ Don Welch & wife Connie;
• Daughters ~ Ann Brown & husband Alvin, Joye Gooch & husband Charles, and Delisa Kelley & husband Pete;
• 17 grandchildren;
• 35 great-grandchildren;
• 4 great great-grandchildren.
