Obituary for Kenneth Lynn Landress

Visitation will be Sunday May 7 from 12-8 PM, and Monday May 8 from 4-8 PM at Vondel Smith Mortuary (6934 S. Western, OKC, OK 73139). Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 9 at Snow Hill Baptist Church (Tuttle).


Kenneth Lynn Landress, 69, entered Heaven's gates on Friday, May 5, 2017. He was born September 5, 1947 in Norman, Oklahoma to his parents Hoyt Landress and Geraldine (Biggs) Kelley. As a young man, Kenneth enjoyed playing baseball and riding his motorcycle. He married the love of his life, Cecilia Ellen McNish on February 11, 1964 and had three daughters Julie, Kendra and Jodi. Kenneth worked 40 years as a truck driver for Nabisco. Kenneth and Cecilia spent most of their vacations when the girls were growing up going to Falls Creek as a youth minister and chaperone with Snow Hill Baptist Church. As they grew older and started having grandchildren, they enjoyed their trips to Disneyland. He was a loving husband, devoted father and proud grandfather, and dear friend who will be forever missed.

He was preceded in death by:
wife, Cecilia Ellen Landress;
brother Danny Landress;
father Hoyt Dewey Landress.

He leaves cherished memories with:
daughter, Julie Landress;
daughter, Kendra Faerber and her husband Brent;
daughter, Jodi Stinson and her husband Roland;
mother, Geraldine Kelley;
sister, Glenda Grange;
9 grandchildren;
9 great grandchildren;
and many other loving family and friends.
