Jim, 91, peacefully departed this life at 11:55pm at his home in Del City, OK. He was born July 29, 1925 in Bennington, OK to Wilma & Zach Dalton. As a young man, Jim learned the skills of a farmer and rancher, as well as a fisherman. On October 5, 1951 he married Dorothy Lee Harris in De Queen, AR, & shortly thereafter they began their family. Although his career was in the OKC area, Jim never lost his love for the farm. His roots as a farmer, rancher, & avid fisherman were still evident to this day. Jim was a member of Sunnylane Baptist Church since 1968.
Jim leaves behind cherished memories with his loving wife of nearly 66 years, Dorothy, Two sons: James Dalton & wife Carla (Durant, OK); Larry Dalton & & wife Brenda (Del City, OK); daughter: Roberta Dalton Riffe (Houston, TX); Seven Grandsons & Two Great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
