Condolence From: keith gibson
Condolence: I was very sorry to hear about this. I had a bad feeling when i heard of the fire and that a body was found. I have no idea who would do such a thing. I had visited his store many times through the years and had lots of conversations with him about books. Its amazing that in all the years I knew him he never told me that he was a fellow attorney. I would have attended his services but I was out of the state when they occurred. He was a great guy.He will really be missed.I still cant believe it.

Condolence: Mr. Hays was a well-loved man by so many in the community. I feel like I've been going to 30 Penn Books all my life - it seemed like it had always been there and always would be. I'm thankful to have gotten to know him even as just an occasional customer. My condolences to his friends and family. Please reach out to the community if you need anything - those of us who knew him only as a customer or in passing still very much cared about him. We want to be here for you in any way we can.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the Hays family. I went to John Marshall with his brother, Mike. If he was anything like his brother, he was a very kind and giving person. So sorry for the families loss.

Condolence: I was Judge Hays' court reporter ('84-'86) and I still have fond memories of working for him. We ran into each other occasionally since those early days. He was a great guy! May he rest in peace.

Condolence: My late husband, Judge Richard Pickens brought Kelly to Enid from Buffalo to serve as a Judge for Garfield County. He was outstanding, fair and compassionate and served with distinction for several years. It is with great sadness that I learned of his passing.
