Obituary for Woodrow Wilson Havens Jr.

Woodrow Wilson Havens Jr., lovingly known by all as Woody, joined Heaven’s angels at the age of 79. He was born in Shawnee, OK to Woodrow and Esther (Shawn) Havens. After graduating from Capitol Hill High School, he found employment at Transcon Truck Lines where he was a teletype operator until his retirement. He married Mattie Rutledge on Jan. 4, 1996. Together they shared more than 20 years of marriage raising their families and creating lifelong memories. Woody was proud to be a 32nd degree mason at the Blanchard Masonic Lodge. He loved being outdoors, riding his tractor, visiting the pond, and feeding the fish at his homestead. Woody had many talents, including crafting & woodworking, flying his own airplane, and entertaining family & friends by singing & playing guitar. He loved making people laugh, and when he met someone new, telling them his favorite jokes. Above all, Woody loved time with his family, and was never shy about expressing his love to them in writing.
