Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM with the family present to greet friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM

Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Shartel Church of God 11600 S. Western Oklahoma City, OK 73170

Deanne was born October 25, 1945 in Los Alamos, New Mexico to James H. & Helen Elizabeth (Henry) Curtis, she passed away surrounded by her family on September 23, 2017 in Oklahoma City.
She graduated from Permian, High School in 1963. In 1965 she received a degree in Music from Gulf Coast Bible College she continued her education receiving her Master’s in Education from Mid America Christian University.
Deanne lived all over the United States throughout her life but finally settled down in Oklahoma City.
She and her family moved from Albuquerque, NM in 1998 and she began her career at MACU as director of recruitment and marketing in 2012.
Since 2006 she was an adjunct online instructor at Nazarene Bible College mainly in Leadership courses, and was a speaker at numerous women's groups across the country.
Deanne was also involved in the Mission field, serving in Ghana 3 years in a row and had also served in Zambia.
Deanne loved music and was a wonderful piano player and keyboardist.
She also was an animal lover and had a soft spot for rescued miniature pinschers.
She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her father Dr. James H. Curtis
She leaves cherished memories with those who survive,
Two sons, Scott Pierce & wife Kathleen;
Rustin Pierce & wife Elizabeth;
Grandchildren Aylin & Myers Pierce;
Mother Helen Curtis;
Brother Jim Curtis & wife Lauri;
Nephews Kelly Curtis, Kyle Curtis, Koby Curtis Jerry Glaindro & Matt Glaindro and a host of other loving family and friends.
