Othor Aubrey Daniels was born April 9, 1934 to Willie and Fred Daniels in Hulbert, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on October 3, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda Jean of the home and all of their children: son, Stuart Daniels and his wife, Susan of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, daughter, Tammy Yager and her husband, Jan of Oklahoma City and daughter, Terri Graham and her husband, Tom of Oklahoma City and their grandchildren: Carrie and Matt Daniels, Lacy Williams, Sean and Haley Yager and Trey Graham and Sara Durham -- and 10 GREAT grandchildren. Othor and Wanda began their married life and family in Brawley, California (near the border with Mexico), where Stuart and Tammy were born. Much of those earliest years, he worked in Tapley's Service Station for Wanda's father. Terri was born while they lived briefly in Chula Vista, California. After his conversion to Christ, the family moved to Denver, Colorado, where Othor studied to be a Gospel minister at the Bear Valley Bible School, graduating with the Epsilon class in 1969. Over the next several years, he served as a minister in congregations of the church of Christ in Colorado, California and Oklahoma. Later in life, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Education from Oklahoma Christian College in Edmond and his master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Oklahoma.About this same time, the family settled in Moore, Oklahoma when Othor began to serve the Central church of Christ in Moore as an education director and youth minister and eventually as an elder. He also transitioned from classroom teacher into his career as a grade-school counselor while in the Moore Public School system. Many children honored Othor over the years for his influence on their lives during his years as their counselor. Othor loved the outdoors. Family camping, fishing and hiking were his favorites. He also enjoyed many hobbies, especially old country music such as Jimmie Rodgers and Hank Williams and guitars! He spent many hours on other hobbies such as photography and video and audio editing. And he was fascinated with the latest technology including his iPhone, iPad, Amazon Echo and all social media. And the grandkids knew he tried hard to keep up -- or be ahead of them on their latest clothing fashions. Othor always had a song on his lips and a prayer in his heart.
