Condolence: Dear Scott, Marla, Janelle and Family, We are very sorry for the loss of your Mother. She was a kind and generous lady who loved everyone. One of her gifts was to help everyone she met to feel loved and appreciated. You had a great Mom and we will all miss her. Since Carolyn has a bad cough we will be joining you online to celebrate your Mom's outstanding Christian life. Sincerely, Don and Carolyn

Condolence: Our heartfelt condolences to the Smith family for Jean's passing. What a wonderfully beautiful (both inwardly and outwardly) and Godly woman! What a generous, gracious, and noble heart! She and her husband, Vondel, were such a blessing to our family as both students of Mid-America and as neighbors in Moore. Because of Jean and Vondel's confessions of faith--in Christ, and because of the truth of II Cor. 5:8, we celebrate and rejoice with the Smith family for their promised eternity with their Savior and Lord.

Condolence: Janelle and all your family, I’m so sorry for your loss. As I remember your mom she was a beautiful and classy woman who always had such a wonderful smile. I saw her many times at Village On The Park while visiting my dad. Always dressed impeccably and friendly to everyone. Even though she lived a long life, I know it’s still very hard to lose her. I’ll keep you in my prayers in the coming days. Deena

Condolence: Jean was such a special lady and had a big influence on me by having such a sweet, gracious spirit. I can still see her smile and feel her warm handshake as I entered the Shartel Church doors on many Sunday mornings. I know she was such a blessing to you, her family, as to so many others. I'm sure you all will miss her, but you must be rejoicing with her also, since she is now in the presence of the Lord, with so many other loved ones and friends that have passed on before her! Love to you all.

Condolence: We are saddened (for your family) to hear of your precious Mom's passing. We have never met anyone as kind, thoughtful and classy as she was! Scott, you and your family have truly learned from the best - Vondel and Jean Smith. I imagine they are walking the streets of gold today with Gene & Edith Phipps. Much love to you and yours.

Condolence From: Rob and Shirley Tyson
Condolence: Our hearts go out to all of your family, who we have grown to love throughout the years. Your mother was such a classy lady with a sweet spirit. Janelle was my (Shirley) prayer partner years ago, and we would pray walking around the walking trail at the park in front of Village on the Park and that’s when I remember we got the word that your dad, Vondel Smith, had passed. Our hearts were heavy at that time. A few years later we had the privilege of meeting Scott & his family buying their home, and have grown to love all of them. Rob has painted for Vondel Smith Mortuary’s for several years now. Our prayers are with each of you as you grieve the loss of your mother and grandmother. Praise God that we can be assured she’s walking on streets of gold with your dad and resting at Jesus’s feet.
