She and her husband, Vondel, were such a blessing to our family as both students of Mid-America and as neighbors in Moore. Condolence: Jean was such a special lady and had a big influence on me by having such a sweet, gracious spirit. I can still see her smile and feel her warm handshake as I entered the Shartel Church doors on many Sunday mornings. I know she was such a blessing to you, her family, as to so many others. Condolence: I had the honor of knowing the Vondel Smith family my entire life. I have many memories of Jean greeting me at Church every Sunday. Her sweet smile and friendly greeting was always a blessing. I’m happy that Vondel and Jean are back together again in heaven.

Janelle was my (Shirley) prayer partner years ago, and we would pray walking around the walking trail at the park in front of Village on the Park and that’s when I remember we got the word that your dad, Vondel Smith, had passed. Our hearts were heavy at that time. A few years later we had the privilege of meeting Scott & his family buying their home, and have grown to love all of them. Rob has painted for Vondel Smith Mortuary’s for several years now. Our prayers are with each of you as you grieve the loss of your mother and grandmother.
