Dave Wayne Fleming
November 11, 1961 ~ January 27, 2018

Dave was born to Raymond and Peggy Fleming in Inglewood, California. He and his siblings Steve, Mark, & Chris were raised in California until the family moved to Earlsboro, OK in 1977. During his childhood Dave enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars, and picking on siblings. Dave graduated from Strother High School in 1979 and went on to attended Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee where he became a Paramedic.

Dave worked at GM for nearly 30 years as a Line Supervisor as well as a design team member until his retirement in 2009. He also enjoyed construction, working on cars, riding motorcycles and tinkering in the garage. He often said he was a jack of all trades but a master of none. Although Dave had many favorite pastimes, he loved spending time with his family more than anything. Traveling was one of his favorite things to do. The trips they made to Destin and Mexico were at the top of his list. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather as well as a loyal friend.

Dave was diagnosed with ALS in 2014. He fought hard to live life to the fullest and made sure his illness did not affect his orneyness, compassion, or the ability to put a smile on anyone's face. Dave will be deeply missed by his family and friends but will never be forgotten.
Dave is preceded in death by his mother Peggy and brother Steve.

He is survived by, his loving wife, Wendy; father Raymond Fleming and wife Carole of Eufaula OK; sons, Nick Fleming and wife Nicole of Moore OK, Tyler Fleming of Oklahoma City OK; daughter, Jayci Fleming of Oklahoma City OK; step-sons Rocky Nelson and fiance Samantha Hernandez of Yukon OK, Dexter Nelson of Eufaula OK; step-daughters, Rhonda Ballard of Moore OK, Karla Girard of Moore OK; brother, Mark Fleming and Fiance Lisa Hughes of Broken Arrow OK; sister, Chris Aledo & husband Corky Of Reno NV, grandchildren, Seth, Kaden, Emeryck, Loralie, CJ, Ty, Cameron, William, Kierra, Blake, Brandon, Kendyl & Kohl, as well as countless extended family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Christy Sharp, nicknamed “Hagg” by Dave, for her diligent care, friendship, and determination during Dave’s illness, Diane Mellinger for her compassionate nursing care, and Ruth Burton-Pugh for her guidance and patience during difficult times.
