Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Douglas Stone can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Viewing will be 4-8 PM Tuesday February 20, 2018 and 4-8 PM Wednesday February 21, 2018 at the funeral home.



Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday February 22, 2018 at the South Colonial Chapel.



Douglas Charles “Doug” Stone, 54, went to be with the Lord on Feb 15, 2018. He was born in Prague, Oklahoma the son of Ralph and Glenda (Reeves) Stone. Doug graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1981. He worked for Lucent Technology in Quality Control. He was a 32nd degree Mason. Doug enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, Dallas Cowboy and Nebraska football but the true joy in his life was being a father.

He was preceded in death by:
• his mother, Glenda Jean Stone;
• wife, Karen LaRae Stone;
• and sister, Tracy Kay Anderson.

Doug leaves treasured memories with:
• his father, Ralph Junior Stone;
• son, Joshua Rolland Stone;
• daughter, Lindsay Jean Stone;
• sister, Debbie Jean Stone;
• as well as many friends and other loved ones.
