Roy Vernon Hackett passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was 88 years old. He was born on December 13, 1929 in Trousdale, Oklahoma to his parents, Andy and Eula (Harp) Hackett. While attending Trousdale High School, Roy met Noma Minnie Smith and they were married in Purcell, Oklahoma on December 26, 1946. He started working at Brown Manufacturing/Aeroblind which provided him the opportunity to visit every state except Rhode Island. He then became an entrepreneur and started his own metal fabricating business, which he owned and operated until his retirement. Roy always wanted to be busy, so when he wasn’t working, he could be found golfing, hunting, fishing, gardening, or searching for the best restaurant in each town. However, nothing was more important to Roy than his family and he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Roy will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather whose love, humor and strict attention to detail will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his:
Parents;
Brothers: Andy Hackett Jr. and Herman Hackett.

Roy leaves behind cherished memories with his loving:
Wife of 71 years, Noma Hackett;
Son, Harold Hackett and his wife, Jeanne;
Daughter, Kay Good and her husband, Mark;
Daughter, Sherry Graham;
Grandchildren: Phil Hackett, Dan Hackett, Jarrett Good, Shawn Graham and his wife, Casey, and Tehna Patterson and her husband, Nick;
