Obituary for Winnifred Nadine McCollum (Tittle)

Winnifred Nadine McCollum passed from this life into eternal life on Monday, October 19, 2020. She was born October 30, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Dewey & Grace Tittle.

She was baptized into Church of the Firstborn on June 25, 1955 by Brother R. B. Williams & was a faithful member & servant.

She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City in 1957 & soon after married the love of her life Floyd McCollum of Tulare, California. They moved to Tulare, California where they started their family of 3 daughters, Leniese, Gaylene & Sheryl. She took pride in taking care of her home & her ability as a seamstress showed in the clothes she made for her daughters.

In 1971 the family moved back to Oklahoma City where Floyd became a deacon of the Church & she was by his side helping the brethren in their time of need. She loved her church family & brethren & especially enjoyed all church events & activities. She always looked forward to visiting with the brethren & always asked when they would be back.

She was an excellent artist & admired the paintings of Thomas Kincade & tried to emulate his work. Often she would donate her paintings for the benefit of church fundraisers, but also found joy in giving many of her paintings to family, friends, & brethren. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren, Melissa, Jeremy, Shelby & Meagan.

She is preceded in death by her husband Floyd, parents Dewey & Grace Tittle, Brothers; Murrel, Paul, & Raymond, Sisters; Lucille, Ella Mae & Alma June.

She is survived by daughter Leniese & husband Jeff Jones, daughter Gaylene & husband Trace Powers, daughter Sheryl & husband Grant Freeman. Grandchildren; Melissa, Jeremy, Shelby & Meagan. Great grandchildren Brooklyn, Ciara, Olivia, Ava, Owen & Londyn. One great-great grandchild Ashton Lee. One sister Kay Temple, as well as many nieces, nephews & extended family.

A special thank you & debt of gratitude to her family caregivers, Tonjua Holman & Suzzi Dixon in the last few months of her life. "Thank you for taking care of our momma." Leniese, Gaylene & Sheryl.
