Gone but never to be forgotten!!

Carl Lee Yeary passed from this life on Monday, December 10, 2018, at the age of 62. But he will live on in the memory of everyone who knew him for as long as they live. He was born April 19, 1956, in Oklahoma City, to Norma Jean (née Page) Burns and Vance Yeary. In 1984, he married Mona Irene Rinehart, the love of his life. With his incredible intelligence, Carl finished his schooling at Southeast High School in 1973, a year early, as valedictorian. As a student at the University of Oklahoma, he was a member of the Weiss Laboratory for Social Psychological Research and was elected Phi Beta Kappa on his road to a B.A. with Distinction in Psychology in 1979. He obtained a Juris Doctorate with Honors from OU in 1987 and was elected Order of the Coif. Carl practiced law at the Oklahoma Department of Securities for more than 28 years following his time in private practice at Holliman, Langholz, Runnels & Dorwart, P.C. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A loyal friend, Carl touched many lives profoundly. His co-workers at the Oklahoma Department of Securities viewed him as the heart and soul of the office. He could always be counted upon to offer guidance, support, and sympathy, not just for difficult legal issues but for every type of problem—from where to get one's car fixed, what house to buy or how to deal with an unpleasant situation. Always the consummate professional, he elevated the performance of all those around him. Often private attorneys and other securities professionals commended his work. Carl was a survivor of the Oklahoma City bombing and was instrumental in helping his fellow co-workers out of the building and getting aid for them while ignoring his own injuries. As a devoted husband, son, stepfather, step-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, his absence leaves an enormous hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Carl is preceded in death by his father Vance Yeary and grandson Steffen Ramsey.

Carl is survived by his wife Irene, his mother, Norma Jean Burns, stepfather, Lonnie Burns, brothers James Snider, William Snider, and Dennis Yeary, stepson Donnie Scott Ramsey and wife Sarah, stepdaughter Valerie Ramsey-McKnight, 9 grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, family, and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten.

Memorial donations may be made to Southeast High School, 5401 S. Shields Blvd. OKC, OK, 73129, to be used for food baskets for children during holiday breaks.
