Obituary for Beverly Ann "Poplin" Nickens

Beverly A. Poplin was born to Henry Poplin and Alscy Poplin in Tulsa Oklahoma on February 20, 1936 and went to be with her Lord on March 29, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Ok. She was married to Paul Lon Nickens in Tulsa on July 1, 1955.

Beverly survived all of her five sisters and brother-in-laws, Janice and Steve Stevens of Sand Springs, Ok., Evelyn and John Penix of Broken Arrow, Ok., Oleta and Bob Bowling of Broken Arrow, Ok. , Barbara and Charles Hendricks of Broken Arrow, Ok., Francis and Jerry Reel of Tulsa, Ok, and a brother Jack Poplin of Owasso who is survived by Mary Poplin sister in law of Owasso, Ok.

Beverly survived her husband Paul L. Nickens who went to be with his Lord on May 19, 2020. Beverly is survived by her only son Gregg Nickens of Oklahoma City, Ok., and one grandson Derek Nickens of Okmulgee, Ok.; and two sisters in law Margie Peterson and Bob Peterson (dec.) of Claremore, Ok. and Brenda Shields and John Shields (dec.) of Tulsa, Ok. Beverly had many nieces and nephews from both sides of her family, and she dearly loved each and every one of them as did they her.

Beverly moved from Tulsa, Ok. to Oklahoma City, Ok. in 1965. Her husband Paul worked for Union 76 of California as a Petroleum Landman and Beverly worked at United Founders Life Insurance Co. as a Data Keypunch Supervisor. Beverly later worked as a Petroleum Landwoman for her husband's business at Oklahoma Independent Leasing Inc. Beverly and Paul had many happy years together and were only 6 weeks shy of their 65th wedding anniversary when Paul passed.

Beverly will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends who dearly loved her. Beverly has joined all of the saints in her eternal home.
