Obituary for Jerry Roberson

Gerald “Jerry” Dee Roberson was born February 13, 1936 in Alex, Oklahoma the
son of Dee and Dorothy (Cruse) Roberson. He completed this life on Thursday,
October 5, 2023 at the age of 87.

Jerry was raised in Alex where he graduated from high school and played several
sports. He married Linda Ruth Peavler in 1963. They moved to Oklahoma City where
they made their home and raised their two children. Jerry worked for Electrolux
vacuum cleaners for over 30 years where he traveled the country as a field auditor.

After retirement, he took on his favorite role as Grandpa to his four grandchildren.
When they were young, he spent numerous hours swinging them in his backyard and
blowing bubbles. He attended as many of their events as he could, including baseball
games, softball games, school plays, birthday parties, dance recitals, gymnastics
meets, and graduations.

Jerry was a loyal Oklahoma University fan. He enjoyed watching all sports, but
especially anything that involved the Sooners. He was also quick to tell a joke to get
people to laugh. His smile and winks will be missed.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda in 2006; his sisters, Joy
Hoosiengay, Wanda Perry and Wilma Wilson; and his brother, Richard “Dickie”
Roberson.

Jerry is survived by his son, Derek Roberson and his wife Christy; his daughter, Laura
Koch and her husband Ricky; his grandchildren, Tate Roberson, Kali Roberson, Alyssa
Koch and Kayla Koch; and his Cousin, Jay Roberson.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 11 th at Vondel Smith
Mortuary North. Services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 12th graveside at
Resurrection Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Valir Hospice, Legend at Council Road, and Focus on
Function for the care they gave him during the last few months of his life.
