Bob was born on August 28, 1943 in Oklahoma City, to Howard E. & Florence L. Yokley. He was raised in Midwest City, and was a graduate of Del City High School.

Bob began his career at Tinker Air Force Base where he worked as a Scheduler followed by a career with his brothers in the Landfill & Waste Management business.

Bob was a naturally gifted pianist & vocalist, dedicating much of his time to participate in church music ministry. He was a longtime member of the Church of God. In his early years, the family attended Midwest City Church of God & Capitol Hill Church of God, and later at his home church, Shartel Church of God.

He was a devoted husband who spent his life doting on his wife, Linda. He quickly learned American Sign Language shortly after he met her. He served as an interpreter for various churches and the Talking Hands Deaf Club. They enjoyed many trips and parties with the deaf community.

Bob could often be found at the Earlywine YMCA, making new acquaintances daily, encouraging others to persevere through adversity, and blessing others with his baked treats.

Bob will be most remembered for his roller skating, hauling a van full of his children and friends to the skating rink every Tuesday and Thursday night during their childhood; pulling sleds in the snow and ice behind the truck; marathon bike rides with hordes of children followed by making whirlpools around the swimming pool and enjoying homemade ice cream; along with a backyard full of dogs, chickens, and show rabbits.

As much as he loved being a father, he was really most proud of being Papa to his grandchildren. He loved his lawn, garden, flowers, plants, and wildlife. His love of photography showcased his garden and earned him the nickname “Bobarazzi”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard E. & Florence L. Yokley; two brothers, Larry & Roy, as well as many family and friends.

Bob leaves wonderful & cherished memories with those who survive his passing.
