Obituary for Tracey Dawn Seigler (Seigler)

Our beloved Tracey was called home last night around 8:30. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Her family already misses her dearly, but we are all relieved she is no longer suffering.

On March 18, 2023 Tracey suffered a series of severe strokes caused by an infection in one of her heart valves. Due to the strokes she was unable to speak and could not swallow forcing her to be tube fed. She also lost the ability to use the right side of her body.

On April 8th, she was brought home under hospice care to pass in familiar surroundings with her Mother, brother, ex-husband, daughter, granddaughters, her sissy, and her three dogs, Comet, Frankie and Maggie.

Tracey was a kind and giving soul, always thinking about others before herself. Her mom lived with her and cared for her during those trying times, but it was Tracey that provided care for her mom. She made sure her mom was comfortable first and foremost before worrying about her own problems. Having lost privileges with her own grandchildren, she looked after her neighbor's little girls who called her Grammy and often came to visit her.

In her final moments she was allowed to reconnect with her own grandchildren and was visibly overwhelmed with joy. It marks her final experiences in her life's journey and she enters her afterlife knowing she was loved by them and others who came around to pay her visits on her way out.

She will be buried next to her dad Derrell at the Vamoosa Cemetery in Konawa, Oklahoma. Tracey is survived by her mother Judith Seigler, her brothers Donnie and Darin Seigler, daughter Amanda Matanane, son-in-law Daniel Matanane, granddaughters Carmen and Scarlet Matanane, her son Zachary Polk, her ex-husband Vincent Polk, and her sissy/cousin Darla Megee.

We have already begun celebrating her life by sharing our fondest memories of her laughing and rejoicing the precious moments we had while she was with us. We encourage you all to do the same as she would not want any of us to be sad or pity her. She would want that we all be happy and celebrate the important things in our lives.

You are all welcome to join us in Celebrating Tracey's life, hosted by her daughter, Amanda, Sunday, April 16th at 2:00pm at South Lakes Park, 4210 SW 119th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73173. This will be a potluck, so bring your favorite dish to share.

There will be a viewing at Vondel L Smith & Son Mortuary and Crematorium, 6934 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139 from 4-8 PM Friday, 12-8 PM Saturday and 12-8 PM Sunday for her family and friends to come say their final farewells.
