Ace Emerson passed away on June 1, 2022. He was born on April 6, 1926, in Webb City, Oklahoma to

Uyless and Mabel Emerson. He is preceded in death by this wonderful wife of 66 years, Cosette, his

parents, grandson Kyle Nickel, brother Bob Emerson and sister Wanda Key.

Ace dropped out of Foster High School to join the Army-Air Force, where he served in WWII from 1944 –

1946, after which he returned to high school and graduated. He served in the 315th Bomb Wing attached

to the 20th Air Force. His ship sailed out from Seattle, headed to parts unknown. After only a few days at

sea, Japan was bombed, and his ship was diverted to Guam where he served the majority of his time

serving the United States.

For a brief period of time in the late 1950's, Ace owned and operated a donut shop and The Colonial

Restaurant, both located in Oklahoma City. In 1963, Ace and Cosette purchased a farm near Meeker,

Oklahoma, where they continued to raise their family while both working at Tinker Air Force Base. Ace

got great enjoyment working his 80 acres. Ace's career at Tinker Air Force Base as a Supervisor,

spanned the course of over 30 years.

He was active coaching little league for many years in Oklahoma City, Meeker and Harrah. He helped

shape the lives of many young men through coaching and mentoring. He and Cosette were also active

in the Elks Lodge at Shawnee, OK and loved golfing and traveling with friends and family.

Ace and Cosette were members of the Deer Creek church of Christ. The family appreciates all the

prayers and visits from its members along with the great neighbors who visited on a regular basis from

Crystal Gardens. So much love has been shown to Ace and Cosette and the entire family.

Ace is survived by his four children, Mark Emerson (Cindi), Ava Emerson, Reba Creech (Perry), Jon

Emerson (Maria), his two Little Miss America granddaughters, Lara Nickel and Kate Nickel, and his

cousin raised as a sister, Joselie Jobe.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10th, from 4pm to 7pm at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary and

Crematoriums, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City (https://www.vondelsmithmortuary.com/). A

graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 11:30 am at Rossville Cemetery at East 0990

Road, Meeker, OK 74855, between Highway 66 & 62 on Highway 177.
