Agnes Marie Kraus, age 90, passed away surrounded by family on November 7, 2023. Agnes was born on October 6, 1933 in Browns Mills, New Jersey to Michael Thomas Kelley and Marie Florence Kelley. Agnes was born and raised in Browns Mills, New Jersey and attended Mt. Holly Regional Catholic School and graduated from Pemberton High School in 1953. She then attended St Francis Hospital School of Nursing for two years. She enjoyed going to the beach at Seaside Heights where she met a young handsome Army Military Police Officer by the name of Edward. They fell in love and decided to move back to Oklahoma, were married on April 23, 1956 and began raising their family. Agnes was employed as a parts secretary for Krueger Inc where she worked for 26 years until she retired. She was a member of St James Catholic Church since 1958. She was a member of the St Pius Guild, Ladies Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed vacations with Edward including several cruises, trips to Hawaii and South Padre Island.
Agnes is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward; children: Edward Kraus, Jr, Mark Kraus (wife Marylin), Stephen Kraus (wife Sherry) and Diane Edwards (husband Scott), grandchildren Kellie Kraus (husband Russell), Joseph Kraus, Dalton Kraus, Drew Edwards, Derek Edwards and April Jones; great-grandchildren: Hayden Flores, Nicky Jones, Daxton Crouch, Bradyn Edwards, Cade Edwards and Madison Edwards as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Marie Kelley and her sister, Anna May Kelley.
Services: Public viewing Sunday, November 12th 2:00 – 8:00 pm at Vondel Smith Funeral Home; Rosary Service Monday, November 13th at 6:30 pm at Vondel Smith Funeral Home, 6934 S Western, OKC; Funeral Mass, Tuesday, November 14th at 10:00 am at St James Catholic Church, 4201 S McKinley Ave, OKC. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
