Aie Thammavongsa was born to Bounghien and Thongdy in Vientiane, Laos on July 21, 1957. He was the oldest of six children. He lived most of his life in Laos until he came to the US in 1981 with his wife and oldest son. He was employed with Carlisle Plastics manufacturing company for 33 years and then the remainder of his employment was with Del City Schools in their maintenance department as supervisor where he was scheduled to retire in 2025. Aie will be remembered by most for being the funny one of the family, he enjoyed making people laugh and smile. He enjoyed music in his early years and being part of a local band with his friends playing his keyboard. He wasn't really big on being fancy and liked to keep things simple. He enjoyed his home cooked meals and spending time fishing with family and hanging out with his friends. Aie passed away peacefully in the afternoon of July 3, 2023 with his children and family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Doungchanh and his children Chucky, Scott and Zay. His 3 grandchildren Daysia, Treylun, Tevun and his great grand daughter Ariella.

His calming nature will truly be missed by all of his friends and family.
