Alan Pason, loving husband, devoted father, dedicated brother, and doting grandfather passed away in the early morning hours of August 29th, 2023.
Alan was born to Albert and Ann Pason on June 4th, 1942 in New York City. The family moved to Tulsa Oklahoma where Alan attended Holy Family High School. There he excelled both in academics and as a member of the track & field team. It was here he met the love of his life, Madelyn.
After finishing college at the University of Tulsa, Alan and Madelyn were joined in marriage in 1964. Alan then served in the US Army's Armored Division in Fort Knox. Following Alan's military service, he attended and graduated from University of Tulsa Law School. After law school, he began his long and prestigious career with the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division. Alan participated in several high-profile antitrust cases, eventually becoming the Chief of the Dallas Field Office until his retirement in 2002.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ann Pason, but he leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will endure through the generations. Alan is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Madelyn, and their two sons. Joel, his wife Erin, and their two boys Jacob and Zachary. Geoffrey, his wife Bailey and her daughter Brylie. He is also survived by his sister Pamela and brothers Paul and Richard whom he cherished dearly.
Alan devoted his life to his family and took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. He lived his life with great dedication to public service and charitable causes.
A memorial service to celebrate Alan's life will be held at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary-North Location on September 16th at 2pm. This will be an opportunity for friends and family to come together, sharing stories and memories of a life well-lived.
