Aleta Bernice (Smith) Chesnut departed this earthly life and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born July 28, 1921 in Greer City, Oklahoma to James Chester and Lula Dale (Tramel) Smith. Bernice lived most of her life in Oklahoma City and was a devoted member of the Church of God. She and her family moved to Odessa, Texas in the late 60's where they owned and operated "Chesnut's Industrial Cleaning". Bernice also employed by Stoddard Volkswagen dealership. After her husband, Clarence passed, her grandson, Michael Sellers, and nephew, John Smith and his wife Julie, successfully continued operating the family business. She leaves behind precious memories with her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Aleta was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband ~ Clarence Chesnut; and Brother ~ Chester. She is survived by her: Son ~ James Chesnut; Step-daughter ~ Mary Ann Sellers; Sister ~ Betty Phia Black; Grandchildren ~ Michael Sellers and wife, Helen, Michelle Sellers, and Monte Sellers; Four great-grandchildren; Six great-great grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
