A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Colonial Chapel

Alice Ethel Trenfield, 94, passed away on Jan. 27, 2011 in Garland, TX. She was born April 12, 1916 to John and Mattie Bartels in Meadow, NE. A resident of Oklahoma City since 1955, Alice volunteered for the Friends of the Library for over 25 years and at the Christmas Connection and the Red Cross. Alice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ray Harris, her sister, Betty Ryser, and her nieces and nephews: Terry and Claudia Bartels, Ginny Haenel, Ron Bartels, Betty and Bob Murphy, Patty and Dan Moussette, Linsey Bartels, Opal and Roger Clark, Kevin and Doreen Bartels and Irv and Ziggy Nokes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System, 300 Park Ave., Oklahoma City 73102. A celebration of Alice's life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the North Colonial Chapel. There will be no viewing or visitation
