Funeral service for Mr. Allan Shipman will be Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Vondel L. Smith & Son South Colonial Chapel, 6934 S. Western Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Henry Allan Shipman went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on November 12, 1936 in Oklahoma City to Henry Shipman and Berdelia Rose Dunning. Allan was an only child, being raised solely by his mother who was single. Allan attended Oklahoma City University, where he earned a National Ping Pong Championship. He loved to play golf and also tried his hand in archery. Allan loved to find new restaurants and cafes and could not wait to take his family and friends to eat. He enjoyed good food and he liked to watch the old western movies on TV. Allan became the founder and CEO of a very successful business, Northwest Transformer Company, which is still going strong today. He was still working every day until the age of 85. He became a very prominent business man in the Oklahoma City community. Allan worked very hard for his family and was a good provider for his wife, Betty and two daughters, Dana and Jeannine. He was loved by all and will be missed by many.

He leaves many lasting memories with his wife Betty, of 65 years; daughter, Dana Gordon and her son, Shon Self; daughter, Jeannine Million and her children, son Russell Cunningham and his wife, Sierra and their boys, Hunter and Bryce; daughter, Annee Rose Cunningham and her children, Kali, Alexis, Ivee, Allee and Saint.

Allan was the best example of a husband, dad, grandad and friend that you could ever ask for.
