Almeta Jean Sudik, 89, passed from this life Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She was born April 23, 1935 in Idabel, Oklahoma the daughter of Cleave and Maggie (West) Naylor. On August 10, 1957 Almeta married the love of her life, Lee Roy Sudik, and together they raised 3 children, Roy Allen, Gaynell, and Loretta. She was a member of Wilmont Place Baptist Church for many years and spent countless Wednesday nights cooking meals and many Sundays caring for babies in the nursery. Almeta enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and dominoes and spending Friday mornings with her sister Oleta at the beauty shop and hitting garage sales all afternoon. Her true passion was spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Vivian Hall and Cleo Brewer; and her brothers, Norman Naylor and Billy Naylor.

Almeta leaves cherished memories with her husband of 66 years, Lee Roy; son, Roy Allen Sudik and wife Sheila; daughters, Gaynell Self and husband Dennis and Loretta Gillespie and husband Brett; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters Oleta Melton, and Karon Teurman; brother Ricky Naylor, as well as many other loved ones and friends.
