Alvin Earl Perry IV, 56, passed peacefully at home on July 18 after a brief illness. Al is survived by his husband, Todd Nalagan, his constant canine companion, Eddie, Mother Arlene Perry, sister Rexanne Johnson (Robert), Aunt Vivian Wimpy (Tommy), Aunt Ellen Gay (Gary), Uncle Edwin Perry (LuLu), and a host of extended family that he lovingly built and cultivated, including his “Mafia”.

Following a long career in banking and finance, Al turned his passion for real estate into a career and became one of the top producing realtors in Oklahoma City, working first at Keller Williams, and ending his career at Flotilla. His customers all received top-notch service and knew to “Just call Al!” if they wanted to buy or sell.

After Al met Todd, the love of his life, they married in a joyful ceremony in 2014 in front of their families and friends, full of food, fun, and good wine. Consummate hosts, Todd and Al hosted many celebrations for birthdays, holidays, and just because either wanted a party.

Al had a heart of gold and made all of those around him a kinder, more loving person (including Todd). He was fiercely loyal, which is how he built an entire family he called “The Mafia”, and a devoted dog dad. The past few years, he leaned hard into Gen Z and became a “purveyor of fine TikToks” as can be attested by all in his circle. Most of all he was loved; loved fiercely, loved wholly, and loved passionately (“always three”-Shub). He leaves a hole in the universe, and he will be missed for infinity.

Alvin Earl Perry IV was preceded in death by his much-loved pack of canines, Sandy, Valerie, Sophie, and Roy, beloved friends Stephanie Husen and Kay Hiller, father, Alvin Earl Perry III, Grandfather Alvin E Perry II (Helen), Grandfather Allvin O. York (Vernon), and cousins Dustin Gay and Shane Wimpy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be directed to Pets and People Humane Society in Yukon, OK where most of Todd and Al’s dogs were rescued.
