Amanda was born September 6, 1975 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Larry Lyle and Pamila Joan (Nelson) Barnes. She completed this life on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the age of 48.

Amanda has lived in Denver, Colorado, Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Louisburg, Pennsylvania, Battlefield, Missouri and in the Surry Hills addition of Yukon.

Growing up Amanda participated in a Brownie Scout Troop. She took tap and ballet lessons while living in Pennsylvania. Amanda was baptized at 12 years of age at the United Methodist Church in Battlefield, Missouri. She graduated from Yukon High School in 1993. At a very young age, Amanda developed a love for cats having a pet cat all of her life. Amanda loved gardening and enjoyed planting flowers every Spring.

Amanda married Tyler Harris Due on July 20, 2013 in Hawaii. They have made their home in Surrey Hills where they are raising their son, Nelson, who was born in April, 2014.

Amanda is survived by her husband, Tyler Harris Due; her son, Nelson Due; her mother, Pamila Barnes; her sister, Audrey Tipton and her husband Homer; her mother-in-law, LaDonna Due; her brothers-in-law, Brandon Due and Chad Due; her uncles, Wade Nelson and Dennis Nelson; her nieces, Iris Tipton and Taylor Due Jennings; her cousins, Julia Nelson and Josh Nelson. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lyle Barnes.

A celebration of Amanda's life will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 5th, 2024 at the Grace Communion Surrey Hills Church.
