IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anna Earletta
Deupree
September 3, 1950 – December 24, 2024
Anna "Earletta" Deupree, 74, left this world in peace on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, with her head held high and a heart full of Jesus. Earletta was born on September 3, 1950, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Elmer Earl and Anna Lillian (Robinson) Ramsey.
Earletta was medically complicated for most of her life and an absolute miracle momma. She was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 1967 and had been fighting for her life since. She underwent over 40 operations, defeating cancer three separate times, had open-heart surgery to place a mechanical heart valve, and had two ostomy surgeries that didn't go as planned. If you met her, you knew she was "tough as nails" and was always fighting through the pain to get back to her family.
Her number one priority and proudest accomplishment were her kids. She was the rock of the family, and always encouraged her kids to be better while believing in them fully. She shouldered the troubles and took her kids to practices and games, cheering her heart out for them. She masterfully crafted a path for Vance, RJ, and Danielle that she wanted for her kids, regardless of the situations they found themselves in.
Earletta passed on her zest for life, work ethic, and a little bit of attitude to all those around her, especially her kids. She officially had three kids, but most anyone in the family, Mustang, or Norman, can confirm that Mama Doop was there to support them, be silly and dance with them, or set them straight, if needed.
Earletta was an avid OU Sooners fan and a lifelong "Okie." She was raised in south Oklahoma City and also lived in Norman and Mustang. Health permitting, she could be found on Saturdays cheering on her beloved Sooners from her south endzone seats where she met her Sooner family. She moved back to south OKC in 2023 where she adored her "Village" and found peace and joy. She knew she was surrounded by people who loved her in life. We are so thankful to each of you for filling mom's life with love and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Earl Ramsey, Donnie Ramsey, and Curtis Ramsey; and one sister, Martha Payton. Earletta leaves precious memories with her sons, Vance Deupree and R.J. Deupree; daughter, Danielle Schott and her husband Clay; four grandchildren; a sister, Glynna Gunnell, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews along with many other friends and loved ones.
Live life and enjoy it.
