Obituary

Services to celebrate the life of Anna will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday March 11, 2020 at the South Lakes Chapel of Vondel Smith. (4000 SW 119th St.) Anna Jo Huckabee, of Norman, Oklahoma, age 90, passed away on Monday, March 9th, 2020, in Oklahoma City. She was born July 11, 1929 in Grady, Oklahoma to Marvin and Gertie Golden. She was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School. On January 25th, 1947, she wed Jake Huckabee, and the two were married 59 years until his passing on April 9, 2006. She worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's company for over 40 years. She truly lived life to the fullest, and was known for her daring and adventurous spirit. She enjoyed hobbies such as waterskiing, golf, and gardening. She also enjoyed playing bridge with friends and attending the horse races regularly. Her family was important to her, as she always spoke of her son Glenn and daughter Cindi with great pride. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and eight great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her: Parents, Marvin C. & Gertie Golden; Husband, Gerald O. "Jake" Huckabee; She leaves behind her: Son, Glenn Huckabee and his wife, Jody ; Daughter, Cindi, & husband Rick Naylor; Ten grandchildren: Twenty Six great-grandchildren Eight great- great grandchildren Many other extended family, and friends.
