IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Antha Maria
Byas
November 19, 1954 – September 14, 2024
Antha Maria Byas
Lovingly known as "Sister"
November 19, 1954 ~ September 14, 2024
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Antha Maria Byas, affectionately known to all as "Sister." She passed away on September 14, 2024 at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Born on November 19, 1954, Sister graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973, where she was an enthusiastic member of the Tigerettes, one of the school's spirited cheerleading squads. Her energy and joy for life were contagious, and she carried that passion with her in everything she did.
Sister was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a warm and loving home. Her cake decorating skills brought beauty and sweetness into the lives of her family and friends. She had a special talent for making every occasion feel extraordinary, and her creations were as colorful and heartfelt as her personality.
She was an incredible mother to her two sons, Raymond and Tony, and took great pride in her role as a grandmother to six grandchildren and a great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. Family was at the center of her world, and she was always there with a smile, a hug, or a perfectly baked treat.
Sister was also the loving and devoted wife of Nathaniel Byas, fondly known as Nate, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love. Their bond was a true testament to partnership, and together they built a life full of laughter, love, and countless memories.
Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She touched many lives with her warmth, humor, and generous spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all.
May she rest in peace, forever remembered and loved.
