IN LOVING MEMORY OF
April Lynnae
Harrell
April 16, 1969 – August 13, 2023
April "Lynnae" Harrell, 54, passed away Sunday, August 13th, 2023, at Integris Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. She passed peacefully and was greeted by her Heavenly Father in her forever home.
Lynnae was born April 16, 1969, to David and Lynna Heisey in Wichita, Kansas. As a young girl, Lynnae enjoyed reading and playing games with family. In school, she excelled in English and reading. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1987. After high school, Lynnae went on to receive her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary Education from East Central University. In 2019, she received her Principal Certification from Lamar University.
Lynnae loved being an educator and spent over 23 years working in public education. She enjoyed bonding with her students and helping them learn and grow throughout the school year. Lynnae taught for 18 years in schools, around Garland, TX; Plano, TX; and Sherman, TX. During her tenure, she taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes and became a campus instructional coach. Lynnae ended her career in education as an Assistant Principal and spent her last 2 years at Wakefield Elementary School.
When Lynnae was not working, she was with her family. Some of their favorite things to do together were swimming, eating out, reminiscing, and laughing together. In her spare time, Lynnae liked to stay in touch with family, garden, and read. Although, Lynnae had been living with Metastatic Breast Cancer for nearly three years she continued to exuberate joy and enjoyed her life to the fullest.
