Ardell Halford, 86, was born May 7, 1930 at Delhi, Oklahoma to Oscar and Lonie (Lynch) Halford. He died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ardell graduated from Eastview High School near Mangum, Oklahoma. Ardell was a United States Marine Veteran and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. Ardell owned and operated Superior Seat Covers for many years before his retirement. Ardell loved fishing, he loved baseball and was an avid O.U. Sooner fan. Ardell loved all of his family and especially enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ardell loved to play his harmonica for all of the grandchildren. Ardell was an active member of Southwest Church of Christ. He had previously served as an Deacon at South Woodward Church of Christ, Elder at Wagoner Church of Christ and drove a bus and taught Sunday School at Oakcrest Church of Christ. Ardell was preceded in death by: • His parents • Infant sister Evelyn • Twin brother Odell Halford • Sister Fay Sanders • And Daughter Pamela Sue Halford Ardell is survived by: • His wife of 53 years Barbara • Daughters, Trecia and Kenny Harrell, Carla Paxton and Rhonda and Jerry Chancellor • Brothers William H. & Georgia Halford and Jack and Pat Halford • Sister Jeanette and John Fitzsimmons • Grandchildren, Sherri and Scott Adams, Amber and Dustin Flowers, David and Desirae Journeay, Bryan Journeay and Jenni Simon, Kayla Paxton, Joshua Journeay and Harley Harrell • Eleven great grandchildren (and two on the way!) • Extended grandchildren Cooper and Mia Bromlow • Other relatives, friends, Church family and Ardell's two special pets, Lucy and Sly
