IN LOVING MEMORY OF

In Loving Memory of
Arlen Dwight "Ike" Tennyson
June 8, 1961 – October 24, 2025
Arlen Dwight "Ike" Tennyson, 64, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025.
Born on June 8, 1961, Ike lived a life full of strength, curiosity, and heart. He had a gift for tinkering—he could take almost anything apart and rebuild it completely, better than it was before. He put those skills to work every day working for his father at Spring Air Mattress, eventually becoming President then founding his own mattress company. He shaped both the business and the lives of those around him with his hands and his hard work.
Ike was a selfless provider, always putting his family first. His greatest joy was his children, Dallas Tennyson and his wife Melissa Tennyson, and April Kuhlman and her husband Ryan Kuhlman, and his grandchildren, Cooper Kuhlman, Arlen Tennyson, Duncan Tennyson, Maximus Kuhlman, and Greyson Kuhlman. He loved spending time with his grandsons—building models, watching Arlen play football, and celebrating milestones like his oldest grandson's high school graduation. Their laughter, achievements, and time together brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his sister, Kelly Young, her husband Johnny Young, and their children, and by Tammy Tennyson, whose love and friendship brought comfort and connection in his final months.
Ike is preceded in death by his parents, Arlen and Shirley Tennyson.
He shared a deep bond with his mother and cared for her with quiet strength and love until her passing.
He found his peace on the water, spending countless days at the lake where he was happiest behind the wheel of a boat or gliding across the surface as a talented water skier. His children grew to love the lake life as much as he did—teaching them to ski, pulling them tubing, and filling their summers with laughter and sunshine.
Ike lived his life with grit, humor, and love. His strength and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him.
He's on calm waters now.
