Arthur Clyde Ingram, 76, passed away on April 5, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on December 20, 1948, in OKC, OK, to James Rodney and Agnes Rutledge Ingram, Arthur was a true Oklahoman at heart.
After high school, Arthur was drafted into the Army and proudly served with the 101st Airborne. Upon returning from war, he dedicated himself to providing for his family, working at the Postal Service and later as an aircraft mechanic for Tinker Air Force Base. AC's passion for speed was evident in his love for hot rods, NHRA, and NASCAR. He spent countless hours tinkering with his cars to make them go as fast as possible. Later in life, he enjoyed driving a wrecker during Friday night races, a role he thoroughly enjoyed.
Arthur will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his:
Parents, Rodney and Agnes;
Estranged wife, Judy Ingram.
He is survived by his:
Sister, Rickey Rose and spouse, Melvin Rose of Oklahoma City OK;
Sister, Ella Templin of Newcastle, Oklahoma;
Loving Children: James Ingram and spouse, Renee Ingram of Newcastle, Oklahoma and Alysia Ingram Millwee and spouse, Michael T. Millwee II of Newcastle, Oklahoma;
Grandchildren: Sonja Ingram and partner, Brandon Nalley of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jax Millwee of York, Pennsylvania and Alexandria Cole Millwee of York, Pennsylvania;
As well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A viewing and visitation will be held at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary at South Lakes, 4000 SW 119th St, OKC, OK 73173 from 4:00 PM til 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 10th, 2025 and Friday, April 11th, 2025 with the family present to greet friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM til 7:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025.
Funeral service to celebrate and honor his life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at the pavilion at the Newcastle Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2345 S Main Street, Newcastle, OK 73065.
