Obituary

A memorial service for Audre will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the El Reno Cemetery Pavillion,1300 E. Elm Street, El Reno, OK, 73036.

Audre Koleen Knott, also known to her beloved grand babies as "Coco" and "G-Ma", was born on May 10, 1969 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Billy Gene and Phyllis (Schroeder) Hickerson. On September 22, 2025, she passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City, with her family by her side. A longtime resident of El Reno, Audre grew up attending El Reno Public Schools. She married the love of her life, Sammy Knott, on April 4, 1991, and they shared 33 wonderful years together, until his passing on July 17, 2024. During that time, they had two beautiful children and were blessed with four beautiful grandchildren.

Positive, strong, honest, loving, caring and selfless are just a few of the words to describe her. While she was battling cancer and kidney issues, Audre stayed positive, fought hard and overcame many obstacles that not many people could. We never heard her complain. Although Audre was not ready to leave her loved ones here on earth, she was ready to be reunited in Heaven with her husband. Audre was a true friend to many and she loved everyone unconditionally. When family or friends would tell Audre that they loved her, she would always say "I love you more!" Audre was selfless. She would gladly give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. We will miss her dearly but her memory will live on in our hearts.

Audre was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sammy Knott; maternal great grandparents, Ella and Albert Schroeder; paternal grandparents, Jewell Audrey and Ted Hickerson.

She leaves lasting memories with her son, Preston Knott and his wife, Cassi; daughter, Jordan Penick and her husband Jeremy; four grandchildren, Paydon and Paisley Knott, Korbyn and Emery Penick; fur babies, Rhonda Knott and Albert H.Schtoeder; sister and best friend, Diana Robinson; brother and sister in law, George and Cathy Knott; sister in law, Cheryl Abner; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
