IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Jo Rae
Eaton
December 8, 1937 – October 26, 2021
Barbara Jo Rae Eaton
December 8, 1937 ~ October 26, 2021
Barbara Eaton was born on December 8, 1937 to Walter D. Council & Jo Ellen (Hood) Council in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She passed from this life surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the age of 83. Barbara moved from Tishomingo to OKC when her Dad had to relocate for work. In 1951, Barbara married Bennie Paden who passed suddenly in 1959. The two were blessed with three daughters. On November 9, 1960 Barbara married James W. Eaton, who willingly and happily became a father to all three girls. She worked at Bond's Bakery during this time until she and her mother became owners of and operated the County Courthouse Cigar Stand. Once she became pregnant with another child, a son, and could no longer work, she became a full time homemaker. She loved having family time, where she could cook and bake her favorite pies and coconut cake. For many years, she was a faithful member of May Ave. Church of the Nazarene. Barbara loved going to her Council family reunions where she could reminisce and enjoy time with her ever-growing family. Barbara loved rooting for the Sooners in spite of her husband's love for orange and black. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched over the years.
