Barbara Jean Harris was born July 26, 1937 in Shawnee, OK and passed away surrounded by her family on August 19, 2022. She was raised in Prairie Valley and Shawnee until she moved to Bethany in 1966.

Barbara became a realtor in 1968 enjoying an incredible career for 54 years. Barbara and her husband Charles purchased Abide Realty in 1982 where Abide became Prudential Alliance, then Berkshire Hathaway and eventually became McGraw Realty. Barbara became National Association of Realtors – Realtor of the Year in 1998, Life Member of Oklahoma Association of Realtors 2000, Oklahoma Association of Realtors-Most Cooperative realtor of the year 2006, Oklahoma Association of Realtors – Realtor of the Year 2007 and a multi-million dollar producer for over 50 years.

She married the love of her life, Charles Thomas Harris, on December 29, 1971. They lived a wonderful full life of 50 years of faith, love and family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Helen Oliver; her brothers, Joe, Billy and Terry Oliver; her sister, Carol Oliver Lowery; her son-in-law, Dr. Hal Vorse.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles Harris; her daughter, Ces Vorse; her sons, Chuck Harris, Curt Harris and his wife Molly and Brad Harris and his wife Joni; her grandchildren, Christy Delano and her husband Craig, Boston Harris and Brock Harris; her great grandchildren, Charlie and Cy Delano; her nephews, Russ and Michael Oliver.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Vondel Smith Mortuary North, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 26, 2022 in the chapel of Crossings Community Church with interment following in Resurrection Cemetery.
