Barbara Jean Selmat Straka of Moore, OK passed away on February 03, 2024 at the age of 91. She was born May 17, 1932 in Renfrow, Oklahoma to Joseph Sr. and Toni Selmat. Barbara grew up on a farm in Renfrow, OK. She married Glen Straka on July 24, 1954. Barbara worked at Integris Southwest Medical Center for 40+ years where she took great pride in her job as an instrument technician. Barbara was very proud of her Czech Heritage and loved to dance to Polka Music. She loved spending time with family, where she was called, Grandma Straka. Grandma Straka loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings, Rose, Eddie, Anna Mae, and Lee. Barbara is survived by her sister Lavona; her son David Straka and wife Cheryl; daughter Lisa Parsons and husband Randy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason Straka; Melissa Khoury and husband Louis; Chris Parsons and wife Patricia; Tyler Parsons and wife Courtney; and many great-grandchildren.
