A graveside service to celebrate Louise's life will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 15 at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Barbara Louise Bowers-Windstein, fondly known as Louise, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the age of 78. The daughter of Lillian Irene Goins and Kenneth Verdell Goins, Louise was born on June 4, 1946 in Hugo, Oklahoma. While growing up, Louise attended Columbus Elementary and Jackson Jr. High School. Louise also attended Capitol Hill High School, where she made many lifelong friends. She married Richard Brant Bowers and this union of marriage was blessed with three daughters, Alicia, Heather, and Teesh. Louise found love again later in life and married Byron Joseph Windstein who preceded her in death in 2015. In addition to being a loving wife, she was also a devoted mother to her 3 girls, grandmother to, Autumn, Kaegan, and Chloe, and great grandmother to, Draven, Bentley, Alara and Afsa. Louise enjoyed working for many companies as an accountant for over 35 years, before finally retiring from Rainbo Bakery. Known for her love of reading, Louise could always be found with her nose in a good book. A very avid reader, Louise especially enjoyed reading many, many different books and authors, however some of her most favorite writers were Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Bentley Little, and Joe Hill. Louise will be fondly remembered as the HEART of the family! She was the center of their world and will be incredibly missed each and every day!

parents; Kenneth Verdell Goins & Lillian Irene Goins

first husband, Richard Brant Bowers

and second husband, Byron Joseph Windstein

She is survived by her:

Daughter ~ Alicia Bowers-Smith

Daughter ~ Heather Bowers-Stroud

Daughter ~ Leticia Bowers

Grandchildren: Autumn Romero, Kaegan Smith and Chloe Barga

Great Grandchildren: Draven Romero, Bentley Barga, Alara Dehghani & Afsa Dehghani
