IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Be Thi
Pham
December 4, 1938 – September 16, 2021
Vondel Smith Mortuary (N. MacArthur Blvd)
With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister Be Thi Pham. Married to the love of her life at the age of 17, she was a devoted wife to her husband of 57 years until his passing. As a young bride of a soldier during the Vietnam war, she faced many difficulties and hardship raising seven children, but her strength and determination never faltered. Even during the darkest years, with countless others around her in despair, she only saw rays of hope. She bravely endured life in Vietnam following the fall of Saigon, until the family immigrated to Oklahoma City in 1990. She has seen war, she has seen sorrow, but despite it all she continued to embrace the good she saw in everyone. Always soft-spoken and never an unkind word to any soul, her warm heart and joyfulness was cherished by all those around her. She was a dedicated mother and treasured her children, and especially loved her role as grandma. Be Thi Pham will be forever missed by her children, grandchildren, many siblings and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, Thinh Duc Vu, and eldest son, Binh Cao Vu.
Be Pham is survived by her sons and their families; Minh Cao Vu of Mississauga, Canada, Tam Cao Vu of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Tien Cao Vu of Yukon, Oklahoma, Tri Cao Vu of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and her daughters and their families; Thu-Nguyet Thi Vu of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Thuy Thu Nguyen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and many siblings both in the U.S. and Vietnam.
We invite all friends and loved ones to join us in a farewell to our beloved matriarch on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19, 2021. Services will be held at 11 am and 5 pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021, as well as 11 am on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from everyone far and near.
